About me
& Creepy Cool

Morbid intrigue awaits...

I'm Laurel, a horror doll artist based in London.

Creepy Cool (also known as Creepy Cool Customs) began as a hobby in 2018, a little escape during a difficult time - I sold my first doll that year and really started to hone my craft.
I now specialise in horror pieces, of my own design and inspired by the works of others. I'm influenced by classic horror, NBC's Hannibal, Rocky Horror Picture Show, American Horror Story: Hotel, Stranger Things, videogames such as Resident Evil and Pathologic, monsters/Cryptids of folklore and more.

For 7+ years now I have been creating finely detailed horror-art dolls and figures based on cult film, tv and video-game characters, as well as original designs; my buyers are collectors and cosplayers from across the world.
I take second-hand dolls from lines like Barbie and Monster High, strip them down to their basics and create unique pieces of art from them. These can be used for display, puppeteering but also for animation, as I almost always use posable/articulated dolls as bases.

I'm passionate about sustainability and not adding more waste to landfill, so all the dolls I use to make my work are preloved rather than new, sourced from online marketplaces, local flea markets and charity shops. I also take care that the modelling materials, sprays, paints, pastels etc are eco-friendly or low impact and that all the packaging I use is recyclable or compostable.

I have had stalls at multiple Satanic Flea Market events in London and worked with Bold and Bright cards on pieces for their photo greeting cards.
